We're a national network of professionals resisting authoritarian overreach: lawyers, doctors, educators, social workers, organizers, and more.
The Firewall Network was founded by an immigration attorney with 25+ years of experience and is led entirely by volunteers.
We build tools to protect professionals on the front lines.
Our Resistance Cards are pocket guide reminders to defend your rights.
We also host weekly meetings, develop training materials, and coordinate cross-sector support.
We are based across the U.S. (in 47 States and counting).
We meet every Monday at 7:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. CT / 5:00 p.m. MT / 4:00 p.m. PT
New members can join via the Substack Newsletter (there is no paywall). The Zoom link to our Monday meetings are in each article.
The Firewall is a volunteer-run network.
We don't accept government money.
All tools are free.
Authoritarianism doesn't arrive overnight.
It creeps in through policy, silence, fear, and pressure.
We're here to slow it down, stop it, and protect each other from it.
We believe it's not just okay to speak up - it's necessary.
A firewall is a barrier. In tech, it protects systems. In wildfires, it keeps flames from spreading.
For us, The Firewall Network is made of people.
We are doctors, teachers, lawyers, public servants, tech workers, and organizers working together to slow, stop, and resist authoritarian overreach in our fields.
We do this though nonviolent civic action:
Refusing unlawful or unethical orders.
Protecting communities from harm.
Connecting people to tools, support, and each other.
This is also called civil resistance or nonviolent resistance - the peaceful defense of rights, dignity, and democracy.
We don't support violence or vandalism. We don't act alone. We act in community.
We're actively seeking professionals to help build these Firewall Hubs:
Legal
Healthcare
Education
Nonprofit/Social Work
Tech
Faith
Public Service
Journalism
Media
If you work in any of these sectors and want to help, RSVP to attend a Monday meeting.
